PIG- Hi, Jamie!! Hornies up, yo sick mutherfucker!! A lot of shit to do here... But it is all going OK..
2. Give us a little background on the band members and how you guys are formed.
PIG- At this moment we are living a hell concerning the line-up... Fucking drummers... Actual proctologists are me (the Pig), Seb Farts and Alex Bowels. I and Seb are the remaining sick fuckers of the first line-up, when we started in 2002. Alex came from GORY GRUESOME and this crazy fuck joined us in 2005, just after the sad and tragic death of former bass player Gus Rectum... Alex recorded and contributed with amazing (de)compositions for split 7” with XXXMANIAK, as well as for upcoming split 7”s with LYMPHATIC PHLEGM and PULMONARY FIBROSIS. And I am sure he’ll contribute a lot more in the future!! Alex is also guitar player in grind/thrashcore insanity CHICO NOISE (ex-CHUCK NORRIS) and the throat abuser in crossover/crust act FODA-SE E MORRA... Very active bastard!! In the begining we had Artur Shrieks sharing the vocal duties with me; but we partied away in 2004 and now he is screaming and squealing in pornocore band GAG ON MY COCK. Former blastman, Dan Ass, left us in 2006, and now he keeps up with his thrash metal project... He was tired of the blastbeats. GG Gut joined us in 2006, replacing Dan, and left us this year... He was drummer in GORY GRUESOME. The idea for I SHIT ON YOUR FACE was defecated by me and Artur. We called Seb to join us, once he was playing with us in an old Death/Grind band we had. Dan and Gus were old friends and extreme music maniacs... It wasn’t difficult to convince them to join us!!
3. Can you tell us why you have chosen I Shit On Your Face as bands name? Do you think it fits well to your musick style? How would you like to describe I Shit's musick?
PIG- I came with this name after I read this statement in the first ABORTED CD!! Hell yeah!! I like it, man... It sound kind original and extremely offensive at the same time. I was looking for a long name, inspired by LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY and SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION names... I think it fited well. About our music style... I SHIT ON YOUR FACE is goregrind... Just downtuned, fast and groovy goregrind. Lyrically inspired by some nasty shit for sure!!
4. Obviously CBT and LDOH have been an inspiration, but what else do you listen to? What are some of the bands strongest musical influences?
PIG- Personally, I listen to a lot of things... From obvious grindcore and goregrind, to crust or swedish death metal, for instance. Of course, no gay bullshit, only extreme music. About the other sick mutherfuckers, every member has his own personal taste, including 80’s thrash metal and crossover (Bowels) and even non-metal/grind stuff (Farts)... I think it’s a good thing, Jamie. It is excellent because it helps us to create something a bit more original than just a boring copy of riffs or beats of these obvious influences. And about our “obvious influences”... There’s DEAD INFECTION and HEMDALE... SQUASH BOWELS too... FOETOPSY, of course!! REGURGITATE, ROTTEN SOUND... I see I SHIT as a band between the more traditional grindcore of DEAD INFECTION, HEMDALE and old BRUTAL TRUTH, and grotesque goregrind of icons such as CBT, UTOPIE, GUT and LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY. Of course!! With some orignal touches, but less talented than these incredible mentioned bands!! We suck....
5. I heard about the lineup changes you have been through How did that happen and why? How does the new line up work and could you tell us about it?
PIG- Oh shit... This crap is pissing me off, man. All these line-up changes... Our last drummer left us months ago, after one year of great job... GG Gut was a killer drummer!! Very talented dude... It sucks now that he gave up, when we were in our best moment as a band. You should be asking for a reason... Me too!! It was weird, man. No explanations, I think his life out of I SHIT ON YOUR FACE was/is a mess. We have a few drummers able to help us out for the next recording... Session drummers.
6. Your lyrics are gory and sick as fuck! Any story behind the songs? And do you think it should be gore/porn to fit the musick better?
PIG- Thanks you enjoy this shit I am doing!! Ha, ha!! These sick ideas just come from my mind... Sometimes influenced by movies or some shit of the real life I read in magazines, newspapers or watch on TV... We are I SHIT ON YOUR FACE, man!! It must be gory, sometimes porn and always sick as fuck!!
7. Can you tell us about "BEER, PUSSY AND WEED (WITH A PINCH OF GORE)...", "CRISPY CROTCHES CRESCENDO" and "SEXSHOP AGORAPHOBIA"? I bet you guys are bunch of horny motherfuckers. hehehe
PIG- Who wasn’t?!!! Ha, ha!! “Beer, Pussy and Weed...” was based on our obvious main influences/desires/necessities!! No lyrics... “Crispy Crotches Crescendo”; I though about “crispy crotches crescendo” because these words together sound cool, starting with the “cr”... “Crescendo” was based on the first riff; “crispy crotches” because I am sick. The last one, the idea came after I read about what is agoraphobia and I imagined a person afraid of being not in big spaces, but in sexshops... Then I created a ridiculous story about the origin of this phobia.
8. Your debut full length is released on Proud To Be Loud Records. How did you get the deal with this label? As a Brazilian gore/grind band, was it logical for you to see your band signed on this label?
PIG- Well... If you think of what Proud To Be Loud became today... No way!! He, he!! Now the label has another name (that my brain all fucked by alcohol can’t remember) and is working with grindcore/thrashcore bands with social lyrics only... No more anti-PC shit like us!! The question, if we were a band for this label or not... Damn!! It is hard to answer, once we were the unique release of Proud To Loud Records!! We are a kind of anti-heroes, man!! We made the label stops after one CD!! Ha, ha!! The label was owned by Paul (ex-drummer of MAGGOTS and actual drummer of FUBAR, of Holland)... We played a gig with MAGGOTS when the band was touring in Brazil, in 2003. Paul got a copy of our first demo and after he came back to his country, he contacted us for a CD in his new label.
9. Your latest ejaculation, ""Shit Maniaks" split 7" w/ XXXMANIAK has been out for a while. Are you happy with the way it turned out? If not, what would you liked to have done differently?
PIG- Man, this recording was the best we did until there (I tell you “was” because we have a new recording now and this one sounds even better in my opinion!!). For our previous releases, we used another studio, I think bad and unprofessional... Then we heard about Ricardo and his Cachalote Studio... This dude is really good!! Ricardo never worked with extreme music before, he is the producer of the “big” local bands of rock and roll and pop music, and he gave us our best sound quality ever!! And, as I told you, for this new recording (for upcoming split 7”s with LYMPHATIC PHLEGM and PULMONARY FIBROSIS), he did it even better!! And besides, we had a new line-up, with Bowels and GG Gut... Our best until now. Excellent songs too... Damn!! I think they are... It is bad that there were only 500 copies of this 7” with XXXMANIAK, but I have plans to use this I SHIT ON YOUR FACE recording again, in the future... Maybe... And, well... I think the vocals could be better in this split with XXXMANIAK.
10. How would you compare your newest material to previous releases like "Vila Velha Noise Beach" and the GORY GRUESOME split? What I Shit's release/s do you consider as your personal favorite?And what can you say about the bands that you've shared releases with?
PIG- Our first demo-CDr, the “VilaVelha Noise Beach” 4-way CD (the songs in the split CDr with GORY GRUESOME are the same of “Vila Velha...” CD; as well as the songs for “Goreism” 5-way pro-CDr are the songs of the first demo)... The songs in these releases are kind of bigger, with less blastbeats... I think there are more death metal influences, more groove parts. Anyway, our drummer weren’t so fast; I see he developed a lot since the biginning. I remember of people comparing us with COCK AND BALL TORTURE and these German groovy goregrind acts. And besides, we were 2 vocalists, there were a lot of screaming parts made by Artur. About the sound quality... Damn!! These 2 releases suck!! We recorded everything in our rehearsal room (we called it, The Bathroom), recording each piece separately (using our horrible microphones) and mixing the whole crap with a Cool Edit program. We used 5 microphones to record the drums, but the sound needed to be captured in an unique track, because we didn’t have equipaments or programs able to record each microphone in separated tracks!! In “Uncontroled Laxative Abuse” we already had faster songs, more grind shit!! But we recorded for it using the old way, at The Bathroom. For “Anal BBQ” (2005) and split CD with VULNUS (2006) we entered in a “real” studio... Well... Not a great studio indeed, but Dourados served us well. The debut-CD, “Anal BBQ”, was filled with old songs and also new songs... We re-recorded few old songs for it, therefore this is a varied CD. The songs for the split with VULNUS are more insane, faster!! I like the songs a lot, but I absolutely didn’t enjoy this recording quality. For me, everything I SHIT did since “Anal BBQ” sounds cool. About the bands that unfortunately shared something with us... They are so many!! If we include “Uncontroled Laxative Abuse” 9-way CD and “Goreism” 5-way... I do like what XXXMANIAK did for our split, also VULNUS is a hell of a band and deservers the best!! AUTOPHAGIA and SARCOPHAGA CARNARIA also kick ass!!
11. Do you have a great admiration to serial killers?
PIG- Except for us... I don’t think so.
12. Have you ever contemplated about how such serial killers feel about lyricist and gore enthusiast such as yourselves, using their twisted state of mind for lyrics and themes? Elaborate.
PIG- It is an interesting point of view, but I don’t think these killers care about goregrind... I don’t even think they know about these bands!! Maybe MACABRE... I have already seen pictures of them with real serial killers... Crazy fucks!! But, serious... You know that these psychopatic killers are true bad guys, and probably, if they have the oportunity to read our lyrics, they will just smile and say “stupids”. Ha, ha!! I’d do this... Ha, ha!!
13. If you are to be a serial killer, who would you be and what sorts your will your victims be?
PIG- I’d be the Doctor Pig!! I would do a bunch of atrocities and start a goregrind band in order to tell everybody about them.
14. And how would you like to die??
PIG- Drunk.... Maybe??
15. Are you guys now in the process of mutilating new materials? When is the next IxSxOxYxF album coming out and what will it sound like? Any new sound directions or concepts?
PIG- Hell yes!! There are these 2 upcoming 7”s; one with LYMPHATIC PHLEGM and another with PULMONARY FIBROSIS. They are already recorded, mixed and shit. GoatGrind Records from France/Switzerland will release the 7” with our brazilian brothers of LYMPHATIC, while Raw Noise from USA will release the other... Both will be out in a few months; but maybe the split with PULMONARY FIBROSIS will need more time, once the label has other releases to be put out first. The 7” with LYMPHATIC will be entitled “Entangled By a Toilet’s Content”, with PULMOMARY will be entittled “Registers of Her Rectal Regurgitations Repeatedly Reproduced in Reverse”... Beautiful, hum?! Both will contain 4 new, exclusive songs.There are other releases already booked, but not recorded yet... We have split 7” with CATACUMBA. This is a blackened thrash/death metal band of great friends we have here, and this 7” will be simillar to what NUNSLAUGHTER and BRODY’S MILITIA did some time ago... Each band will play own songs but also cover of bands with the style/concept of the other band. Do Not Entry from UK will release this one in 2008. Other release is the split MCD with NECRO TAMPON from UK; and Spastic Colon Productions, a new label from England, will release it. There’s the split 7” with PYKNODYSOSTOSIS from Canada, and swedish label X-Tra Vagina will put it out. There’s also more 2 split 7”s, but we are not sure if we’ll record for them now, once we don’t have labels for both yet... They are split 7” with NECROCANNIBALISTIC VOMITORIUM and split 7” with KADAVERFIKER. But the release we are absolutely focused on, it is the second full-CD!! This one will be entitled “Defecation : Domination”!! The idea was to release it in early 2008, but this fucking line-up problems made us postpone it to middle 2008... The italian Despise The Sun Records will do it. The concept for this album will be the same sickness, as usual. But the cover art will be, as well as the lyrics for the song tittle is, based on a future world when feces become very useful for humanity and society... A disgusting future for sure. The art would be done by GG Gut, our ex-drummer (he also did the arts for split 7”s with XXXMANIAK and LYMPHATIC PHLEGM), but now that this fucker left us, I will find another... The art producer for the CD will be Tom Pryer (who’s also member of CORPSE CARVING band), he is excellent!!
16. What is the songwriting process of a IxSxOxYxF song like? How much time do you spend to write a song?
PIG- Quite simple!! Seb Farts or Alex Bowels come with the riffs and we all together work on the song structure, during the rehearsals. When it’s finished; I got the riffs and structure, and work on the lyrics and vocal patterns by myself. Once our songs are simple, we don’t need more than 4 or 5 rehearsals to finish them.
17. Tell us about the Brazilian scene. Any new bands worth checking out?
PIG- Brazil is a very large country, as I think you know. And we have a huge, very good scene here. I recomend to all the gore/splatter/grind/death freaks to check out ASS FLAVOUR (death/splater metal), GAG ON MY COCK (pornogrind), GORY GRUESOME (death/gore, now 100% goregrind), DEAD FETUS COLLECTION (goregrind, ex-PREMATURE AUTOPSY), SCATOLOGIC MADNESS POSSESSION (grindgore), FACADA (best grind band from Brazil), HUTT (hyperspeed grindcore), NEOPLASM DISSEMINATOR (putrid noisy goregrind), HARMONY FAULT (grind/death), OFFAL (AUTOPSY meets GUT for old-school death/gore), DERANGED INSANE (noisy grindcore), HUMAN MEATGRINDER (raw splatter), DEAD IN HUMAN SCUM (death/gore), EXULTORY (noisy goregrind), HORRIFICIA (excellent death/grind with horror themes), NECROSE VAGINAL (noiiiise/gore), PUTRITORIUM (goregrind as fuck)... Damn fuck!! So many!! Of course we can’t forget the old ones, for those who don’t know... LYMPHATIC PHLEGM (godz of brazilian gore), FLESH GRINDER (masters of brazilian splatter/death), FECULENT GORETOMB (one of the best brazilian goregrind acts ever), GORE (first goregrind band from Brazil), ROT (grind masters), LETHAL SENSE (brutal death/grindgore)... And the dead ones... ROTTING FLESH (goregrind), SARCASTIC (goregrind/splatter), CARNAL THUMOR (noisy goregrind), VOMITO (masters of gore), NECROSE (grind/noise), NO SENSE (grindcore)... So many bands, dude. And I will not include here the death metal scene... This one is really huge!! It is tradition here, since SEPULTURA, SARCOFAGO, HOLOCAUSTO... Early 80’s.
18. There are shitloads of hot bitches in your place! Hahaha! I bet Sexually Transmitted Diseases is very rampant in your area.
PIG- Ha, ha!! A bunch of them.... But they are bitches, and like bitches they enjoy rich playboys, not ugly smelly crusty metalheads like us. Let these playboys die by AIDS!! We have all these STDs here of course; but people take care about it and government is always helping with free treatment and condons... Her is not like Central Africa, man... We are a bit more organized. Ha, ha!!
19. Are you into shit eating? BDSM and the likes? What's the most disgusting stuff you've ever done?
PIG- Eat shit?! Oh no!! I prefer pussies... If you consider smelling my farts an act of BDSM, I am in. I don’t go further than this. Ha, ha!! The most disgusting thing of my life is when I drink not cold beer...
20. Could you tell us a little about your label/distro "The Hole Productions"? How did you start it and how are things going with it today? What's coming up in the future?
PIG- I idea for THE HOLE started since I graduated and started to earn a good amount of money. Of course I always wanted to be more “active” in the scene, doing more than I SHIT ON YOUR FACE and local gigs (I used to do gigs, but not now). The original idea for the first release was a 4-way CD, but 2 of the bands broke up... So, I keep with the idea for an ordinary split CD. But the members of OFFAL didn’t wanted to release a split CD with the other band (PUTRITORIUM) because OFFAL music is very different of what PUTRITORIUM does; and they told me that the OFFAL stuff was already recorded, music enough for a full-CD... I asked him to send this recording to me and I fucking loved it!! This mixture of AUTOPSY-style doomy death/gore with this GUT/CBT-style groove and pitch-shifted vocals!! OFFAL debut-CD was released in 2006, 1000 copies. The second release was in early 2007, I SHIT ON YOUR FACE / XXXMANIAK 7”. About the label, it’s all going fine. The next release will be out in a few months (december or january), OFFAL / BOWEL FETUS split 7”. I don’t know what I am gonna do next... There’s a big chance that I will cooperate with other labels, with a little amount of money, for VISCERA / IRON BUTTER 7” and THOUSANDSWIILDIE / MODORRA 7” releases.
21. What was the first band you released? Did you choose them or was it the contrary? Was it hard to convince them to work with you, as you were a very new label with no release?
PIG- Ops... I answered it in the question above... OFFAL debut CD. I choose it, of course. André (OFFAL and LYMPHATIC PHLEGM) is a long time friend and he knows how I am serious concerning my band and everything I do for the extreme scene. I understand that it is a bit hard to believe in someone you absolutely don’t know and has nothing to proof how serious he is, and this person comes with the idea to release your CD... But the situation here was different.
22. How do you choose a band you'll work with? Do you care only about the musical aspect, or are the motivation for promotion and the setting of gigs important?
PIG- I am a small label and what moves me is the passion only. I don’t want to get rich with THE HOLE... And I am sure I won’t!! Ha, ha!! The music is what matter for me. I believe I enjoy my releases more than anyone!!
23. Do the other members have any other projects beside I Shit On Your Face? Aside from playing in the band, what do you guys do during your spare time?
PIG- I don’t have another band, as well as Seb Farts... I SHIT ON YOUR FACE exclusively. As I put before, Alex Bowels is the singer in FODA-SE E MORRA (crossover/crust), guitar player in CHICO NOISE (thrashcore) and other less-serious musical projects... In the meantime; I kill people, Seb smokes marijuana and Alex masturbates himself.
24. Which CD's would you say is essential in every goregrind collection? What kinda shit has been in your cd players lately?
PIG- Old CARCASS, IMPETIGO, NECRONY, GENERAL SURGERY, REGURGITATE, LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY, DEAD INFECTION, EXCULCERATION, REPULSION, HEMDALE, old XYSMA, HAEMORRHAGE, PATHOLOGIST, LYMPHATIC PHLEGM, GUT, CBT, mexican DISGORGE... Probably I forgot some... All these classic bands, brother. I am always listening to some of these classic gore bands, some brutal slam death from US, old-school death, grindcore...
25. Are there any gigs cumming up for you guys? How do people normally react on your live ejaculations? Any chance you could cum over to Philippines? =)
PIG- Once we don’t have a drummer now, only session; no gigs... The reactions are the typical ones, including moshpits, heads banging and some people asking us to leave the stage because we suck!! Ha, ha!! Philppines is very far from here, man... But who knows??
26. What can we expect from the band in the near future?
PIG- More and more releases with even more brutality, more speed, and all with the best sound quality we can achieve for our music style... I hope more gigs too... We were discussing about it and I hope some cool tours, here in Brazil, maybe abroad, can actually happen.
