2. Give us a little background on the band members and how you guys are formed.
PUTREFIED GENITALIA were formed back in 2002 as a two-piece. I joined later on as a bass player. The main goal back then was to play raw, sick gore/grind. The band changed many members on guitars before stabilizing its line up to the current one containing 2 guitar players.
3. Can you tell us why you have chosen Putrefied Genitalia as bands name? do you think it fits well to your musick style?
When I entered the band, the other guys had already picked that name, so I guess I am not the right person to answer this, but I guess that at that time it fitted very well for a goregrind band. Now PUTREFIED GENITALIA have moved on to more old-school death metal ways adding influences from bands like AUTOPSY and INCANTATION to its sound. I still think that this name is the right one bacause of our perverted way of thinking when writing a song. To my mind it sounds like the name NUCLEAR DEATH, sick and unpredictable. By the way, NUCLEAR DEATH is a band I really admire!
4. Hows the split with Atavism Doin? And how does it sound cumpared to your older materials? Are you satisfied with the results? if not, What would you liked to have done differently?
It did very good. The first 500 copies were spread in no time. Then we repressed it in 500 more copies that are almost gone too. I think this split made many people take more seriously PUTREFIED GENITALIA. So, we are pretty satisfied with this release. Of course ATAVISM helped a lot in this split. These guys are simply amazing and they are great friends of ours. This split compared to the older material found PG adding the first old-school elements to the gory/grinding style of the first promo. Some things could be better for sure, but we are not the guys that cry over spilt milk, you know. We move on.
5. Are you guys now in the process of mutilating new materials? When is the next P.G album coming out and what will it sound like? Any new sound directions or concepts?
Great question Jamie. We have entered the studio at the moment to record 13 tracks. 9 of them will consist the PUTREFIED GENITALIA debut album. The other 4 tracks (including an AUTOPSY-Ridden with Disease and INCANTATION-Unholy Massacre covers) will be released from BRINGER OF GORE RECORDS as a 7'' in early 2007. Some son titles from the new PG material: Domain of Perversion, I Am Decomposition, My Mind Became Their Grave, Orthodox Ways
6. How does the song writing process work for Putrified Genitalia? How much time do you spend to write a song?
That depends. All 5 PG members write songs. We present them to the band and then work them out all the members together.
7. What are some of the bands strongest musical influences at the moment?
AUTOPSY and INCANTATION for sure.
8. Who writes the lyrics on the band? Does your lyrics mirror the most hideous and perverted side of mind? and have you ever tried thinking/feeling like a serial killer/rapist, deviant or so, for a while?
Most of the band's lyrics are written by Kostas, our vocalist. However, I have written the lyrics for 3 songs that will appear in our debut cd. My lyrics are coming from personal bad situations combined with fiction in an extreme way. I can try to understand different ways of thinking and reacting to things, but when you live in a society and not in the jungle, you have to cool it down. I mean, you'd better write sick lyrics than kill somebody...
9. Do you think it should be gore/porn to fit the musick better?
No, not at all for PUTREFIED GENITALIA, though in early stages LIVIDITY had an effect on all the band members. Dave is a great friend of mine.
10. Have you ever cuntemplated about how such serial killers feel about lyricist and gore enthusiast such as yourselves, using their twisted state of mind for lyrics and themes? Elaborate.
Our lyrics are sick on the one hand, but I think they leave a positive aroma to the reader. I mean this is just a sick sense of the way we face everyday's life.
11. If you are to be a serial killer, who would you be and what sorts will your victims be?
I prefer to be in a serene state of mind bro, trust me.
12. And how would you like to die?
I don't wanna fuckin' die!!!
13. Aside from playing in Putrified Genitalia, you're also an editor of a fanzine called Sewer Zine. Can you tell us more about this? What is your goal in writing a zine?
Yep. This is a devoted to death metal / gore and grind zine that I release all by myself. I have released 2 issues by far interviewing great bands like LIVIDITY, DEVOURMENT, KAAMOS, PROPHECY, VOMIT REMNANTS and tons more. The new 3rd issue will be our soon with interview from the legendary SUFFOCATION!!! Contact me for sending promos, trade etc.
14. Which bands you have interviewed on your zine that you dig a lot and which do you consider is the best that you had?
All the above mentioned plus tons more. I face equally all the bands. All of them have my deep respect and true support.
15. Is there any particular genre that you would not cover?
SEWER ZINE is a death metal / gore / grind zine.
16. Do the other members have any other projects beside Putrified Genitalia? Let us know..
I am not through yet bro! Except from SEWER ZINE, I have also started along with our guitar player Haris (and I play the bass) a brutal death metal band called STENCH OF VIRGINITY taken the name from LIVIDITY's tune (thanks Dave!!!). I also have a noise/experimental band called EGO DEATH plus some other projects running. Our vocalist is the man behind EMBRACE OF THORNS (black metal) while Jim, our drummer, is the drummer in EREBUS DOMINION (black metal). John, the other guitar player runs some projects too.
17. Can we talk about Greece Greece

18. Your country is known for its classical and timeless mythodology - about those gods and godesses. Do you believe on stuffs like that? And who amongst the greek godesses you find hot? hehe
Mythology is mythology. you cannot take this as reality, even though it represents a way of thinking. i think that these gods were more close to nature and its secrets and closer to man's inner self. The hottest goddess was for sure Aphrodite, the Godess of Beauty.
19. How would you describe Putrified Genitalia on stage? What were some of your favorite gigs? Best places? Best Crowd?
We haven't played outside Athens
20. Are there any gigs cumming up for you guys? How do people normally react on your live ejaculations? Any weird expiriences you'd like to share? Any chance you could cum over to Philippines
Sure, we'd love to play anywhere in the world if someone covers the expenses of tickets and food and beers. Here in Greece
21. What are you guys doing besides playing in Putrified Genitalia? Any hobbies? Do you engage orgies for fun?
We have normal jobs or study. That's pretty it.
22. How would you like to describe Putrified Genitalia's musick?
Putrid death metal.
23. What can we expect from the band in the near future?
A full length for which we are looking for a label to release it and a 7'' that will be relaesed from BRINGER OF GORE PRODUCTIONS (thanks for everything Marc!!!).
